Summer is long gone. But going back, in July we did a First Aid course taught by Butch. We had such a large group he had to split them in half so in the mornings we, the ladies, had a session and then Butch did a repeat of the morning after supper with the men. There were around 15 people in both groups though I don't remember the exact numbers. We even had a 'Yankee' lady from South Dakota joining us for the session.
It seems things are falling into place with the First Aid course. The first time you take the course, you memorize rules and procedures to follow and just do them. I was quite pleased to note that it's starting to feel like the common sense thing to do instead of just learning a procedure. It was of course a big help that the Canadian Red Cross has simplified many of the traditional routines.
And, since we had to work so diligently, we had to celebrate with a movie and, of course, FOOD!
