Beginning June we had a small crew of four people here from a Swiss TV crew to do some filming for a documentary that will be aired on Swiss TV. It's a collection of stories from all across Pan America. They will have a 45 minute segment on Canada with TEN minutes on Hutterite life. Their Facebook page is called Dok Panamericana; website is www.sf.tv.
Denise Langenegger, the producer, was here a few days ahead of the others to get things organized. It was nice getting to know Denise - we had some interesting conversations...:) I feel like I made a new friend.

Denise - though she might not like this picture because it's not her 'real' self. She wore this Hutterian dress when she went to church here.
Evolution or Creation?
And then the inevitable question comes up: do you really believe God created the world in six days? In public schools in Switzerland, and basically all over the world, children are taught the world evolved after a Big Bang.
And my Dad's response was, if we can doubt that, we can also doubt the virgin birth, His death and resurrection.
This question has raised some hot debates but when you study the Bible, accepting that it is the Holy Word of God, not just some book put together by man, there is no doubt and no question as to who God is and how he created the world.
In fact, the Bible teaches in Rom1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.
To me that means that the tree growing outside my window could not just have evolved. It was designed by an Almighty God who I think must have enjoyed creating. The mind-boggling intricacies of the created world, it seems to me, can only inspire awe, adoration and worship of His glory.
How painful must it be for Him to be rejected and cast aside, as if He should not even be mentioned.
